As a **Elite Security Officer - Armed Plaza Patrol** in **San Antonio, TX** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. This driving and armed post involves interacting with the public, providing outstanding customer service, and responding to incidents as needed. What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, respond to emergency situations.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while remaining professional at all times.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.

+ Observe and report any suspicious behavior or activity within the location to the appropriate personnel.

+ Maintain a visible presence to help to deter theft, vandalism, or other unwanted incidents.

+ Enforce site-specific rules and regulations as directed by Allied Universal and/or the client site policies.

+ Assist customers, visitors, and staff with directions, information, and general inquiries as needed.

+ Remain alert and prepared to respond to incidents, emergencies, and/or alarms as required.

+ Prepare and submit reports regarding incidents, observations, and patrol activities as required by Allied Universal policies.

+ Operate communication devices and/or security-related technology as needed for the post.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Have three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or 5 years of armed security-related experience.

+ Possess an armed guard card or license.

+ A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
