• What You’ll Do

• Draft, proofread, and prepare pleadings, motions, affidavits, discovery, settlement agreements, and court forms

• Manage electronic and physical case files with accuracy and care

• Assist attorneys with hearings, mediations, depositions, and trial preparation

• Conduct family law research to support case strategy

• Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and third parties

• Track deadlines, maintain calendars, and coordinate scheduling

• Collect and organize financial, medical, and personal documents

• Handle e‑filings and traditional court filings across South Carolina

• Maintain strict confidentiality and provide empathetic support to clients

• Provide additional administrative and case‑related assistance as needed

Requirements

• What You Bring

•️ 3+ years of family law paralegal experience (preferred)

•️ Knowledge of South Carolina family court procedures and filing systems

•️ Strong legal drafting skills and proficiency with case management software + Microsoft Office

•️ Excellent written and verbal communication

•️ Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast‑paced environment

•️ Compassionate, professional demeanor—even in emotionally charged situations

•️ Paralegal certification or associate degree preferred (experience considered)
