• Network Operation Engineer

    Position Overview

    We are seeking a Network Operations Engineer to support the deployment and maintenance of distributed access architecture systems. This role involves managing virtual cable modem termination systems (vCMTS), remote PHY (RPHY) turn-ups, and ensuring high availability in a 24/7 operations environment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in Unix/Linux, scripting, and network troubleshooting.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Execute vCMTS platform stand-up, software installation, and system/network maintenance.

    + Implement changes, perform system upgrades, and manage risk through automation (Python, Bash scripting).

    + Handle incident mitigation and participate in on-call rotation for 24/7 support.

    + Identify service-impacting trends and collaborate with development teams for long-term solutions.

    + Troubleshoot network and server hardware/software issues.

    + Work with Product and Project Management to integrate and operationalize new products.

    + Build and replace system hardware; define and monitor IT services.

    + Partner with internal engineering teams to improve product reliability and develop automation tools.

    Requirements

    Required Qualifications

    + 3+ years of production operations experience in a 24x7 environment.

    + Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux environments.

    + Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, Bash).

    + Proven experience in network troubleshooting and configuration (CCNA/JNCIA optional).

    + Experience with server hardware/software troubleshooting.

    + Familiarity with Kubernetes, Jenkins, Ansible, and Git is a plus.

    + Exposure to Juniper, Arista, or Cisco networking devices.

    + Ability to work after regular business hours, including weekends and holidays.
