Project Engineer

Job Description

Join a dynamic team as a Project Engineer, where you will manage multiple projects focusing on sustaining engineering and product development. You will work on a variety of electronic products found in equipment, such as displays, clusters, and control modules.

Responsibilities

+ Manage several projects simultaneously, including gauges, clusters, displays, sensors, and controllers.

+ Collaborate with supply chain management to source components from suppliers and manage manufacturing suppliers.

+ Dedicate 75% of your time to project management activities, ensuring projects are on track and meeting deadlines.

+ Use charts to manage project timelines and milestones.

+ Provide updates to project stakeholders regularly.

+ Manage predominantly hardware development and electrical engineering projects.

+ Interface with software and mechanical engineering teams.

+ Spend 25% of your time on technical hands-on activities, primarily around testing.

Essential Skills

+ 7+ years of experience in project management and hardware engineering.

+ Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

+ Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

+ Experience in electrical engineering, hardware design, and PCB design.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Past experience in hardware engineering and electrical engineering is highly desirable.

+ Ability to step in and execute tests as needed.

+ Experience with analog, digital, and mixed signal technologies.

+ Familiarity with supplier and vendor management.

Work Environment

Work in a collaborative and innovative environment as part of a small team of approximately 20 people. Enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule, with the opportunity to work from home 1-3 days a week. The facility is located in a state-of-the-art manufacturing building with business casual attire. Engage with engineers across different locations, including Peoria, IL and India. The working hours are from 9 AM to 5 PM

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Naperville, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
