    Job Title: CNC Operator** **Job Description

     

    This role requires candidates to utilize the machining center to accomplish daily tasks in the completion of finished parts that will be part of the handrail system. The candidate will use blueprints or schematics to ensure parts being manufactured are within tolerance using quality gauges like micrometers and calipers.

    Responsibilities

    + Setup and operate CNC Mills and other non-CNC machines, considering candidates with only Milling experience.

    + Load and make adjustments to CNC programs as needed, primarily using G-code and some M-code.

    + Perform tool changes as required.

    + Verify the accuracy of manufactured products against drawings and details via measuring tools and gauges.

    + Inspect finished parts to confirm they meet established quality standards using micrometers and calipers.

    + Troubleshoot and solve problems quickly.

    Essential Skills

    + Ability to setup and operate CNC Mills and non-CNC machines.

    + Experience with tool changing.

    + Proficiency in using micrometers and calipers for measurement.

    + Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.

    + Familiarity with G-code and some M-code.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with HAAS lathes, mills, and milling machines.

    Work Environment

    The work environment consists of a shop with CNC Operators and welder fabricators. Approximately 30 employees work between 1st and 2nd shifts. The company emphasizes teamwork, feedback, and a sense of urgency in task completion. The dress code includes work pants, t-shirts, and steel toe boots or sneakers.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of COLUMBIA, PA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
