    Job Title: Manufacturing Production Supervisor** **Job Description

     

    Supervise plant personnel to ensure work is carried out in a safe manner with expected productivity. Detailed production planning to ensure product is manufactured to meet customer expectations.

    Responsibilities

    + Supervise plant staff and participate in the annual review process.

    + Engage in detailed daily production planning for optimal equipment and personnel utilization to achieve on-time delivery.

    + Interface with Engineering and Production to resolve manufacturing issues/non-conformances and clarify engineering questions.

    + Train team members and ensure all team members are competent in their roles.

    + Monitor production standards and quality control measures.

    + Maintain accurate records of production data, including volume produced, material usage, and deviations if any.

    + Actively participate and implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance production efficiency and safety.

    + Ensure all work procedures and specifications are followed.

    + Work in accordance with Health and Safety procedures, ensuring compliance with OHSA regulations and safety practices.

    + Identify and implement opportunities for improvement in productivity, cost, or safety.

    + Adhere to all ISO 9001 policies and procedures.

    + Actively participate in monthly and annual inventory counts.

    + Perform other duties as assigned.

    Essential Skills

    + Production management and supervision experience.

    + Lean manufacturing knowledge.

    + Manufacturing leadership experience.

    + Three to five years’ experience in a supervisory role in a manufacturing facility.

    + Data entry and record keeping skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment requirements, and quality systems.

    + Experience in implementing and driving continuous improvement projects.

    + Experience managing people in a manufacturing environment.

    + Proficient computer skills, including email and Microsoft Office products.

    + Knowledge of OHSA safety regulations and best practices.

    + Knowledge of ISO9001 / ISO14001 is an asset.

    + Familiarity with transformer or switchgear products is a definite asset.

    Work Environment

    Work primarily on the shop floor, involving considerable standing, bending, and kneeling, with the ability to move freely. Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, welding eye protection, gloves, and safety shoes are required. Overtime may be necessary depending on order volume.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $62400.00/yr.
