Construction Apprentice
Job Description:
+ Seeking experienced Commercial Carpenter to specialize in remodel work for a variety of projects including healthcare facilities, education institutions, military buildings, and state and federal projects.
+ The ideal candidate will possess a broad skill set in carpentry, from basic to advanced tasks, and have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
+ Responsibilities include accurately measuring and cutting materials, installing trim, cabinets, doors, hardware, and assisting with flooring installation.
Work Environment:
+ Weekly hours: Monday - Friday / 7:00 AM to 3:30-4:30 PM.
+ Fully Onsite position
Skills:
+ 2+ years of commercial carpentry experience
+ Proficiency with hand tools and basic power tools/saws
+ Ability to read a tape measure and cut materials to specification
+ Skilled in base and case, metal stud layout and framing

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Des Moines, IA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.00/hr.
