    Job Title: General Production Worker

    Job Description

    As a General Production Worker, you will load machines with rolls of thin aluminum sheet metal, monitor the machine as it punches holes and cuts the metal to size, and collect processed pieces from a small conveyor belt to organize them. You will also tie completed concrete wall ties together with metal wire, transport bundled wall ties to the designated storage area, and spray paint the ends of the ties according to order specifications.

    Responsibilities

    + Load the machine with rolls of thin aluminum sheet metal.

    + Monitor the machine as it punches holes and cuts the metal to size.

    + Collect processed pieces from a small conveyor belt and organize them.

    + Tie completed concrete wall ties together with metal wire.

    + Transport bundled wall ties to the designated storage area.

    + Spray paint the ends of the ties according to order specifications.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in production, general labor, and metalworking.

    + Ability to work in a repetitive, hands-on manufacturing environment.

    + Comfortable working with mechanical machinery.

    + Basic understanding of workplace safety and ability to follow procedures.

    + Ability to lift and move materials up to 50-65lbs repetitively.

    + Strong attention to detail for proper organization and color coding.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Knowledge of metal stamping, metal shop, and general production.

    + Familiarity with machine shop, blueprint, fabrication, drill press, and mechanical skills.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a machine shop environment that is not climate-controlled, where it stays warm during the winter with the machines constantly running. During the summer, doors and windows remain open with fans operating to maintain air circulation.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bates City, MO.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
