The Center for Instruction, Technology and Innovation (CiTi BOCES) is seeking New York State Certified Teachers to join the Synergy Virtual Tutoring Service team. This is a unique opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and possess the flexibility to thrive in a dynamic virtual learning environment. As a virtual tutor, you will play a crucial role in delivering personalized one-to-one or small group live virtual tutoring sessions to students during the school day or after school.

Responsibilities:

+ Conduct live virtual interactive tutoring sessions in a synchronous videoconferencing environment

+ Adapt teaching methods to suit a virtual learning environment

+ Engage students in meaningful learning experiences

+ Track student progress and communicate effectively with students, guardians, and school districts

+ Foster a positive and engaging learning environment in a virtual community

Positions Available:

+ Science 7-12 (Dual certification a plus)

+ Social Studies 7-12

+ Math 7-12

+ English 7-12

+ Spanish 7-12

+ Health

+ Physical Education

+ Special Education (K-12, 7-12)

+ World Languages 7-12

+ Electives

Job Qualifications

+ New York State Teaching Certificate

+ Instructional technology skills and familiarity with virtual learning platforms

+ Ability to think fluidly in a virtual work environment

+ Creativity and innovation in teaching approaches

+ Strong collaboration and communication skills

+ Availability between 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM

+ Hours are flexible and are typically 1-3 hour time blocks

+ After school hours are available

+ Dual certification in relevant subject areas is a plus
