*Description*
Summary:
Team Lead, Guest Services provides direction for the hospital operator and information desk staff in the absence of management. Assists with maintaining adequate staffing by being available to receive emergency calls 100% of the time. Responsible for maintaining up to date computerized phone database and on call scheduling. Exhibits strong customer service and telephone skills.
Responsibilities:
1.Provides support by performing duties as an operator or lobby receptionist to maintain acceptable staffing levels.
2. Demonstrates clear understanding, knowledge and proficiency in handling emergency calls.
3. Ensure acceptable coverage for hospital operator and/or information desk in managements' absence.
4. Overseeing the receipt of monthly department on call schedules.
5. Leads the training of new staff members in the hospital operator and information desk department.
6. Answers calls in a timely fashion, exhibiting strong customer service skills resulting in service excellence for the callers.
7. Responsible for carrying out proper activation procedures using computerized phone and paging systems for life safety codes.
8. Maintain and Model Nuvance Health Values.
9. Demonstrates regular, reliable and predictable attendance.
10. Performs other duties as required.
Other Information:
HSD or equivalent.
Minimum of 6 months’ switchboard, direct customer service or guest services position
Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
Working Conditions:
Manual: Little or no manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterity
Occupational: Little or no potential for occupational risk
Physical Effort: Sedentary/light effort. May exert up to 10 lbs. force
Physical Environment: Generally pleasant working conditions
