Database Administrator

We are hiring a Database Administrator to preform the following:
+ Administer database performance and tuning
+ Apply and maintains Database security
+ Contribute to the development and documentation of standards and procedures for usage of Database Management System
+ Develop/approve data models and physical database designs
+ Develop/approves SQL application code to ensure efficient database access
+ Ensure that database backup and recovery processes are in place
+ Install and perform maintenance on core database software as well as on application schema components and database structures
+ Monitor database growth and provides input to overall system capacity plan
+ Monitor data usage to ensure correct use by applications and to minimize redundancy
+ Design, set up and maintain the database system, including installation of the DBMS and setting up the IT infrastructure to enable applications to access databases.
+ Perform production support and troubleshooting, including root cause analysis of the production issues, fine tuning and optimizing the performance of tasks and programs that access the database.
+ Collaborate with application developers to ensure accurate and efficient application design for database access.
+ Administer User access and support - create new user accounts and provides access permissions as well as create and manage database reports, visualizations and dashboards to help users easily understand the status of their database.
+ Communication - converse and work with application programmers, business end users, IT and business managers, data analysts and other DBAs
+ 10+ years of Database administration experience.
+ 7+ years of hands-on experience with SQL, PLSQL and other programming languages
+ 5+ years of experience with designing and implementing the Cloud native databases.
+ 5+ years of experience with Oracle database management and administration including Oracle RDS.
+ Oracle or Microsoft certification is desired
+ Detailed understanding of and experience with Database tools and stored procedures.
+ Strong written and verbal communication and customer/stakeholder management skills
+ Good knowledge of Health data is desired
+ Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
+ Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments
+ Ability to interact effectively with customers and stakeholders
+ Works at an extreme level of collaboration. Must be willing to work in a common virtual team workspace setting during the day.
+ Base Pay Range: $160,000
+ Other Compensation: Incentive Compensation
+ All Compensation is commensurate with employee qualifications, experience, and other factors including geographic location, market and operational factors.
