    THE POSITION

The Department of Human Services (DHS), Division of Adult Protective Services is seeking a motivated Human Services Program Representative 1.     DESCRIPTION OF WORK

    As a Human Services Program Representative 1, you will oversee and monitor Adult Protective Services (APS) for a uniquely designed region containing specific counties within the Commonwealth. You will determine if investigations conducted by the APS contractor are appropriate, adequate, and thorough to ensure that identified risks to an adult are addressed. As a liaison between APS contractors, program offices, county governments, local service agencies, and other providers you will provide technical assistance to ensure timely enrollment of services and minimize APS service funding expenditures. This role requires effective communication and thorough knowledge of program services to work closely with the APS Director in the development, review, and promulgate governing regulations. In addition, you will assist with developing and presenting trainings applicable to APS.

    Work Schedule and Additional Information:

    + Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week

    + Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.

    + Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to three days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

    + Three years of professional experience developing, implementing, or evaluating a human service program, and a bachelor’s degree; or

    + An equivalent combination of experience and training.
