GENERAL PURPOSE: Set up and maintain the folder/gluer to produce pharmaceutical cartons, sleeves, and folders.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

\u2022 Locates and loads proper stock in preparation for operation.

\u2022 Prepares make-ready feeder, prefold, glue system, final fold, delivery, stacker, pack station and inspection system.

\u2022 Operates folder/gluer in accordance with customer specifications and current standard operating procedures.

\u2022 Ensures total quality of the job while in operation.

\u2022 Maintains the machine and area in accordance with the standard operation procedures.

\u2022 Demonstrates competency in all basic folds: straight-line, lock-bottom, inner partition, and 5th panels.

\u2022 Assists press operators as needed at delivery end of press.

\u2022 Assists the small machine operators in the rewind area.

\u2022 Operates the folders in the insert area.

\u2022 Performs other job duties as assigned.

\u2022 Work in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

\u2022 Must have high school diploma or G.E.D.

\u2022 Must have ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.

\u2022 Must have ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

\u2022 Must have ability to perform basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

\u2022 Must have ability to meet and/or pass the minimum requirement on a mechanical test or have demonstrated mechanical aptitude through prior work experience

\u2022 Must pass basic reading test.

\u2022 Must be capable of good attendance.

\u2022 Must be willing to work overtime as needed.

\u2022 Must pass color vision test and color hue tests.

\u2022 Must be able to perform all essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
