Job Duties & Responsibilities:
+ Provides direct supervision technically and developmentally for assigned employees. This includes some HR functions, financial and technical training and mentoring, and day to day support to achieve better than estimated productivity on assigned projects
+ Provides input to sales and operations regarding the technical and business considerations for construction or direct owner projects. This input could be associated with areas such as estimating, timing, special resource needs, or other aspects peculiar to specific projects
+ Provide leadership and input to others as requested or required to assist in the accurate estimation, design, installation, start up, commissioning, and training for building systems.
+ Communicate with external organizations as required such as consulting engineers, building owners, and other contractors to ensure accurate and timely delivery of projects needs
+ Completes labor staffing worksheets and coordinates with other mangers, GOSs, GOMs, Sales, or Engineering Managers to ensure appropriate staffing levels for both overall headcount as well as anticipated skill sets
+ Determines if customer expectations are similar to Climatec’s and if these can be achieved based upon Climatec’s estimate or contractual scope. Provides feedback on this as appropriate internally and externally
+ Communicate with internal employees as required to ensure Climatec labor is accurate and timely and estimated productivity is achieved in all areas.
+ Oversees project needs and timing to ensure on time delivery
+ Manages assigned employees in coordination with Project Managers to achieve design accuracy on assigned projects
+ Identifies and resolves potential project issues.
+ Recommends technical solutions to sales and operations.
+ Assist Sales team during estimating phase.
+ Participates as reuired in internal reviews all engineered submittals insuring adherence to scope, budget, and customer expectations as well as location standards
+ Works with direct reports to assist them in their development of personal goals. Reviews these goals with direct reports throughout the year and provides annual reviews as well as administration of salaries for these direct reports
+ Other duties as assigned
Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
+ 2 year technical degree in Electronics or equivalent experience/training.
+ 5+ years of Construction Project Management experience or related field
+ Understanding of the DDC systems that control buildings.
+ Understand the other systems involved in the mechanical and electrical portions of building controls.
+ BS degree in Electrical, Construction Management, or other related studies is excellent.
+ Ability to manage a team of 3 or more members
+ An understanding of basic computer operating systems.
+ The ability to configure and debug basic computer problems.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office.
+ Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
+ Excellent analytical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
+ Clear and concise ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
+ An ability to understand empathetically the issues and perceptions others have and to creatively and successfully work through these issues to achieve a successful outcome and customer and employee satisfaction.
+ Clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications:
+ 2+ years of HVAC and/or Building Automation Project Management experience.
+ 3+ years of Mission Critical and/or Industrial Controls with an emphasis in HVAC and/or Building Automation and Project Management experience.
+ 7+ years of Construction Project Management experience or related field
+ Ability to read and interpret MEP design documentation.
+ Understanding of special systems such as PLC, SCADA, Ignition etc.
Essential Job Functions:
+ Be able to lift and carry ladders, drawings, personal computers, material, etc.
+ Be able to lift up to 50lbs.
+ Be able to spend significant time standing and walking on construction sites.
+ Be able to climb several flights of stairs or ladders throughout a typical day on a construction site.
+ Maintain a satisfactory driving record which, per Climatec’s vehicle policy, allows the individual to drive on company business.
+ Be physically able to kneel, stoop and crawl.
