• Combustion Devices Engineer Intern

    Amentum (Huntsville, AL)


    Primary duties for the Combustion Devices Engineer:

    + Lead the development for software automation technology for a liquid injector design workflow to support injector performance and geometry modeling, reduce injector design time, and increase design iteration efficiency.

    + Apply this technology to design permeable injector faceplates.

    + Programming original functions and routines for MatLab, Python, and Excel.

    + Collaborate with other engineers to resolve technical issues.

    + Document and deliver results with recommendations.

    + Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Educational requirement is enrollment in a university or college program leading to a BS degree in Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace or related engineering field. Degree program from an ABET accredited university preferred.

    Requirements:

    + Strong MatLab and Python Programming skills required.

    + Knowledge of FORTRAN and Excel VBA desired.

    + Proficient using Microsoft Office Products.

    + Good communication and documentation skills.

    + Good organizational skills and time management.

    + Able to work in a team environment.
