Special Education Teacher – Make a Difference Every Day!
Are you passionate about empowering students with diverse learning needs? We’re seeking a Special Education Teacher (LBS1) to join our dedicated team and help create an inclusive, supportive learning environment for elementary students.
In this role, you will:
+ Deliver high-quality instruction to students in a self-contained classroom
+ Collaborate with general education staff to implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
+ Provide tutorial assistance and consultative support to ensure student success
+ Foster a positive, engaging classroom environment with para support
Position Details
Modality: Special Education Teacher – LBS1 endorsement required
Grade Level: K–5th
Caseload: Self-contained or Resource classroom
Support: Paraprofessional support provided
Schedule: 8:15 AM – 3:15 PM
Start Date: ASAP through end of school year
Minimum Requirements
+ Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)
+ Valid state teaching certificate as required by state/district regulations
+ State Teacher Certification preferred:
+ Standard Elementary Teaching
+ Standard Secondary Teaching
+ Standard Special Teaching
+ Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) required
+ Minimum of one year teaching experience (preferred)
+ Current CPR (if applicable)
+ TB questionnaire, PPD or chest X-ray (if applicable)
+ Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
