JOB SUMMARY:
A member of the Network Infrastructure Team serves a lead role supporting Ohio Machinery Co.’s network in the area of infrastructure technology and cybersecurity. This person must be capable of working independently to ensure the stable operation and security of the organization's IT infrastructure. This includes researching, designing, installing, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing routers, switches, firewalls, server infrastructure, disk storage, cyber-security, data communications, and telecommunications systems. Must perform activities quickly and independently to resolve hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion. Tasks relating to cybersecurity systems will be a vital part of this role and support the Network Infrastructure Manager with incident response plan-related activities.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Experience installing, configuring, and supporting enterprise-wide LANs, WANs, WLANs, Firewalls, VPNs, servers, endpoint protection, physical security systems, SIEM, and other cybersecurity tools.
+ Strong proficiency with modern cybersecurity tools, logging, penetration testing, and remediation. Cybersecurity compliance and its related actions are key.
+ Hands-on experience with troubleshooting network hardware and connectivity.
+ Knowledge of current protocols and standards, prefer experience with Cisco, VMWare, and Microsoft technologies.
+ Technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems.
+ Experience troubleshooting hardware such as servers, routers, bridges, switches, network interface cards, and so on.
+ Experience coordinating the installation of network cabling and data closets.
+ Technical knowledge of PC and platform operating systems, including Windows server and desktop operating systems.
+ Application support experience with Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Office applications, M365, as well as other business software systems.
+ Knowledge of LAN administration, including high proficiency with Active Directory.
+ Experience documenting configuration and process information.
+ Knowledge of applicable data security, privacy practices, and laws.
+ Availability to work after hours, and on weekends is required; and must be able to travel up to 10% of the time.
+ Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
JOB DUTIES:
+ Monitor and resolve cyber threats, network connectivity problems, firewall configuration, and troubleshooting.
+ Participate in the design and planning of the cybersecurity infrastructure to support new applications and technologies, and play a key role in network expansion.
+ Perform relevant infrastructure compliance audits, including PCI, NIST, CMMC, etc.
+ Audit operating systems and related end-user software configuration as it relates to cybersecurity.
+ Ensure network integrity and security in accordance with business needs and industry best practices regarding privacy, data security, and compliance.
+ Recommend, schedule, and perform software and related system improvements, upgrades, security patches, and reconfigurations.
+ Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot email communications, mail proxy, and related security configurations and protection systems.
+ Conduct research on emerging products, services, protocols, and standards.
+ Create documentation and assist other IT staff in an escalation role.
+ Develop, document, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans.

+ Must be highly motivated, able to present ideas in a user-friendly language, and able to work collaboratively with a team.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; and to verbally communicate to exchange information. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
