Job Description
Fluor's Corporate Accounting Department is seeking an Accountant at the Company's headquarters office located in Irving, Texas.
Job Duties:
The accountant position is responsible for assisting with general ledger accounting and internal reporting functions, as well as for providing certain administrative support services to the Corporate Accounting Department.
• Assist with the accounting for various executive compensation plans
• Perform certain journal entries, general ledger account analysis, and reconciliations
• Assist with the forecasting process for the Corporate Business Unit
• Assist with government reporting requirements from the Bureau of Economic Analysis and U.S. Census Bureau
• Use SAP and Tagetik (“TAP”) Systems for various reporting requirements
• Perform ad hoc projects, compile financial data analysis, and reports as needed
• Provide administrative support as needed, including copying, archiving of historical files, ordering of supplies, invoice coding and processing, folder and tab labeling, expense reporting
• Other duties as assigned
To be Considered Candidates:
Must be authorized to work in the country where the position is located.
Basic Job Requirements
• An accredited four-year degree in Accounting
• 0 - 3+ years of accounting experience
• Excel proficiency with pivot tables and VLOOKUP
• Willingness and ability to work extended hours during the quarterly and annual close process
Other Job Requirements
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate (both orally and in writing) effectively with management, coworkers, vendors, and visitors
• Ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple tasks and deliverables in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet deadlines
• Can perform work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner with diligence and accuracy
• Meets expectations on attendance and punctuality
• Self-motivated/Driven individual with a strong work ethic
• Must comply with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards
Preferred Qualifications
• CPA candidate
• Adobe proficiency to prepare various pdf packages
• Knowledge of SAP General Ledger or equivalent ERP system
