• Epidemiologist III

    **Position Objective:** Lead and execute advanced epidemiologic analyses and data-driven products for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) Coronavirus and Other Respiratory Viruses Division (CORVD) supporting investigations, dashboards, publications, and rapid-turn decision support.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    + Perform and guide complex analytic work (multivariate models, study design support, power calculations).

    + Develop analytic datasets, documentation, and repeatable pipelines/code.

    + Provide quality assurance guidance to ensure data integrity and consistency.

    + Produce dashboards/visualizations and briefing materials for leadership.

    + Support manuscripts, abstracts, presentations, and clearance-ready deliverables.

    Qualifications

    Basic Qualifications:

    + **3 to 10 years of demonstrated experience performing advanced epidemiologic/statistical analyses**

    + **Bachelor's degree in public health or related field**

    + **Proficiency in SAS and/or R for analysis and reporting**

    + **Strong ability to translate analysis into clear written products and briefings**

    + **Ability to work cross-functionally with CDC stakeholders; maintain confidentiality and data security**

    + **Ability to obtain/maintain Public Trust suitability and comply with CDC policies**

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + **Master's degree in public health or related field**

    + **Experience with clinical data, surveillance platforms, and data modernization alignment**

    + **Experience with Power BI/Tableau and developing dashboards for program use**

    + **Experience facilitating rapid turnaround for complex documents and clearance workflows**
