    The opportunity

     

    Delaware North Sportservice is searching for part-time Catering Attendants to join our team at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio. As a Catering Attendant you will provide outstanding customer service while serving food and beverage products in a banquet setting, ensuring that guests' needs are being met in a positive, efficient, and courteous manner. The ideal candidate will be friendly, positive and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

    Pay

    $14.00 - $14.00 / hour

    What will you do?

     

    + Sets up tables for function in accordance with banquet event order

    + Accurately transports food and beverages to guests in a timely manner

    + Performs necessary tasks to service guests including: taking and filling drink orders, providing refills, answering questions, and clearing of dirty dishes

    + Serves alcoholic beverages responsibly, requests identification, adheres to all unit and company alcohol service policies and procedures.

    + Monitors guest needs on a continual basis ensuring all requests are promptly fulfilled; handles any guest complaints

    + Replenishes food on buffet lines (if applicable)

    + Maintains a safe and clean environment for guests and fellow team members

    + Breaks down event according to company procedures

    More about you

    + Must be 18 or older

    + Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hotel, full-service restaurant, catering facility, or club environment

    + Excellent guest service skills

    + Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment

    + Strong communication skills, including listening skills and ability to take food and beverage orders and fill those orders correctly

    + No high school diploma or GED required

    Physical requirements

    + Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

    + Ability to stand and walk for entire length of shift

    + Exposure to variable temperatures

    + May be required to work in narrow spaces
