    Job Description

    The Iowa Department of Revenue’s Lottery Division is currently seeking aStorekeeper 2to join our Warehouse team. The Lottery Division provides responsible entertainment and prizes to the public, generating revenue for state programs, including support for veterans, economic development, law enforcement, education and agriculture.

    In this position you will:

    + Perform warehouse tasks related to the receiving, storing, handling, packaging, labeling and shipping of lottery instant and pull-tab tickets and lottery promotional materials.

    + Operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment to unload, load, sort, and store lottery tickets and promotional materials weighing up to 55 lbs.

    + Process tickets and promotional materials orders for distribution to 4 regional offices and 2,400 retailer locations in Iowa.

    + Stand at an assigned Station on a conveyor system in order to fulfill ticket orders from retailers.

    + Receive and checks incoming Lottery tickets and materials.

    + Inventory and track tickets and materials stored in the warehouse

    Preference will be given to candidates with the following:

    + Experience in handling, storing and issuing product/materials

    + Experience of full-time clerical, inventory, warehousing or other job related work

    + Ability to work alone and as part of a team

    + Previous experience working with vendors or retailers

    Job Specific Competencies:

    + Knowledge of the objectives of a supply system operation

    + Ability to learn and apply departmental supply regulations and procedures

    + Ability to operate personal computers and use word processing, spreadsheet and database software applications

    + Ability to lift heavy objects and perform prolonged physical labor

    Minimum Qualification Requirements

     

    Experience equal to two years of full-time clerical, inventory, stores, supply, warehousing or other job related work;

    OR

    employees with current continuous experience in the state executive branch that includes experience equal to twelve months of full-time work as a Storekeeper 1.

    Additional Qualification Requirements

     

    Designated positions in this job class require applicants to obtain the required Commercial Drivers License and endorsements within a period of time as determined by the appointing authority at the time of hire.
