• Cybersecurity Engineer

    Tele-Consultants, Inc. (TCI) is actively seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Engineer in support of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT).

    Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    + Prepare, implement, and ensure compliance with cybersecurity policy, to include Assessment and Authorization requirements.

    + Plan, implement, upgrade, and/or monitor cybersecurity measures to improve cyber defense and maintain a cyber-resilient network.

    + Assess cybersecurity vulnerabilities for risk and propose and implement remediation actions or risk mitigation strategies.

    + Ensure appropriate security controls are in place that will safeguard digital files and electronic infrastructure.

    + Respond to computer security breaches to re-establish protections and make required reports.

    Minimum Education and Experience:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering, or Mathematics with a concentration in computer science or equivalent.

    + 10+ years of professional experience with cybersecurity engineering.

    + 7+ years’ experience performing RMF and Cybersecurity systems engineering tasking.

    + Information Assurance Management (IAM) or Information Assurance Technical (IAT) or Information Assurance System Architect and Engineer (IASAE) Level I (position-based) per DoD 8570.1M.

    Additional Qualifications:

    + Demonstrated proficiency with Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Cybersecurity Systems Engineering.

    + Strong technical communication skills.

     

    The nature of this position requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to pass a thorough background investigation.

     

    The primary location for performance of the work will be Newport, RI occasional travel.
