    Tele Consultants, Inc. (Newport, RI)


    Tele-Consultants, Inc. (TCI) is actively seeking an experienced Engineering Technician in support of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT).

    Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    + Inspect and test incoming assets to evaluate system condition and document all deficiencies.

    + Operate, troubleshoot, upgrade, and perform diagnostics, recommend repairs, and perform repairs (upon approval).

    + Identify and document failed components and replace failed components as part of the repair process.

    + Conduct teardown, installation, configuration management, final assembly, and verification testing.

    + Perform mechanical, electrical, software regression, pre-installation test and checkout (PITCO).

    + Prepare, update, and submit reports as required.

    Minimum Education and Experience:

    + Minimum of High school diploma or GED;

    + 10+ years’ experience working with EHF and SHF MILSATCOM systems, to include baseband equipment.

    Additional Qualifications:

    + Demonstrated proficiency working with Extremely High Frequency (EHF) and Super High Frequency (SHF) satellite communications systems and associated baseband equipment to include modulators/demodulators (modems), integrated receiver decoders, and communications security (COMSEC) devices.

    + Complete knowledge of requirements to maintain a COMSEC Local Element account to include issue, inventory, and destruction.

    + Strong technical communication skills.

     

    The nature of this position requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to pass a thorough background investigation.

     

    The primary location for performance of the work will be Newport, RI occasional travel.
