Job Description
Provide critical and timely intelligence across all BAE Systems Inc., Space and Mission Systems business areas. Develop and effectively communicate market, customer, and competitor intelligence that directly impacts strategic direction, long-range planning, and Mergers & Acquisition (M&A). Assist in developing long-range strategic plans for the corporation or major division by identifying internal and external strategic issues that could affect growth and profitability. Assist in market intelligence and competitive intelligence projects.
The Strategic Operations (StratOps) Strategic Capabilities Unit, consists of Washington DC Operations, Marketing & Communications and Strategic Development. The StratOps team promotes and elevates the business within our markets, works with customers and industry to influence and drive growth and facilitate collaboration across the business enterprise to increase opportunities.
What You ll Do:
+ Conduct open-source research projects focused on markets, customers, and competitors.
+ Develop and present reports summarizing research findings.
+ Research, analyze, and communicate intelligence assessments and provide recommendations on strategic direction, new business capture pursuits, long-range planning, and Merger & Acquisition (M&A) candidates.
+ Conduct competitive analyses, maintain surveillance over markets and communicate and translate changes in the market environment across the business.
+ Maintain and update a repository of market and competitive intelligence information.
+ Provide cross-business price-to-win and black hat support.
+ Assess competitor positions and approaches to new business opportunities.
+ Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
+ Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
+ Perform other duties as necessary.
**On-Site Work Environment:** This position requires regular in-person engagement by working **on-site three or more days** each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.
Working Conditions:
+ Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
+ BS/BA in a related field plus 2 years or more of related experience.
+ Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
+ Ability to synthesize information from multiple sources, determine and communicate relevant information and intelligence.
+ Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced multidisciplinary team environment.
+ Excellent writing and presentation skills.
+ Interest and knowledge in defense, space, technology, and aerospace.

A security clearance or access with Polygraph is not required to be eligible for this position. However, the applicant must be willing and eligible for submission, depending on program requirements, after an offer is accepted and must be able to maintain the applicable clearance/access.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $77809 - $132275
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
