    General Responsibilities:

    Responsibilities include Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW). Welders are required to meet certification to AWS D17.1 for Aerospace Welding for compliance to NADCAP (National Aerospace Defense Contractors Accreditation Program).

    Specific Duties:

    + Ability to read engineering drawings and apply to job duties.

    + Organize and perform the welding independently and complete all necessary documents.

    + Perform mechanical sections for determining weld quality.

    + Comply with the safety requirements of the department and company.

    + Perform weld qualification to AWS D17.1

    + Perform welding to Engineering Process Specifications (EPS).

    + Responsible for production assembly of components, fitting, and/or adjustment of interrelated parts.

    Qualifications:

    AWS D17.1 Fusion Welding for Aerospace Applications (desired)

     

    Able to read simple drawings: use scale, calipers and simple measuring instruments.

     

    Knowledge acquired through experience in assembly work.

     

    Work requires assembly of a wide variety of regular and special purpose parts.

     

    Considerable judgment and decisions is needed to follow clearly defined standard work procedures and practices.

     

    Education and Training

     

    High School diploma or GED

    Experience

    1 - 3 years welding or manufacturing experience preferred but not necessary.

     

    Compensation: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour based on experience
