    Job Description:

    Job Overview

     

    We are looking for an experienced **Inspector / CMM Programmer** to join our team in Mount Joy, PA. This is a 1st shift job opportunity offering great working hours, stability, and an excellent compensation package.

    Important Note:

    This role requires strong skills in reading and interpreting technical drawings and a solid understanding of **Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)** , including features such as True Position, Perpendicularity, Concentricity, and Parallelism.

     

    Experience with **Vision Systems for dimensional measurement** is highly valued. These systems are used to measure part dimensions and can be operated manually or programmed to check for dimensional requirements on components. Please note: the vision systems we use are **not for visual defect inspection** .

     

    A print reading quiz will be part of the interview process to assess your proficiency.

    Responsibilities:

    + Use standard inspection equipment including **Vision Systems for dimensional measurement** , hand tools, go/no gages, pin gages, etc.

    + Set up, program, and operate measuring systems to determine whether parts meet print dimensions.

    + Train other employees on the use of Vision Systems and other standard measurement equipment.

    + Establish daily priorities and work independently with minimal supervision.

    + Communicate inspection results to Engineering, Inspection, and Management.

    + Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to component inspection.

    + Complete and pass training for Zeiss software (CMM programming).

    + Enter, pull, and track data in SAP software.

    + Organize customer source inspections and maintain professional relationships.

    + Other quality-related duties as assigned.

    First Shift schedule with two flexible options:

    5 days/week: 8-hour shifts plus a 30-minute lunch break (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM)

    4 days/week: 10-hour shifts plus a 30-minute lunch break (5:30 AM – 4:00 PM)

    What your background should look like

    • HS Diploma or equivalent work experience; Associate's degree in technical specialty is a plus

    • Five plus years experience in Quality

    • CMM programming skills preferred but not required.

    • Thorough understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing and ability to measure features for this criteria.

    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

    • Working knowledge of AS9100 preferred.

    • Basic print reading skills could be tested during the interview process

     

    This position requires access to information which is subject to stringent controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR).     COMPENSATION

    • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $56,500 – $84,300 (subject to change dependent on physical location)

    • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.

    • Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
