Reporting to the Principal Engineer at our Archbold, OH facility, you will lead Automation, Electrical, and Instrumentation (AEI) initiatives that directly impact production performance and reliability. This facility produces trusted brands such as La Choy, Vienna Sausage, Dennison’s, and Wolf Chili. You will work on the plant floor to design, implement, and maintain automation systems, troubleshoot complex equipment issues, and ensure compliance with electrical safety standards across all operations.

Your Impact

+ Deliver hands-on PLC and HMI support to Operations and Facilities teams during daily production activities

+ Execute automation projects that enhance throughput, reduce downtime, and improve process control

+ Develop and deliver technical training programs to strengthen AEI skills across the workforce

+ Participate in Daily Direction Setting (DDS) meetings to address automation priorities

+ Serve as an active member of Early Management (EM) and Preventative Maintenance (PM) Pillar Teams

+ Drive AEI equipment lifecycle planning and obsolescence management in partnership with EM teams

+ Enforce site safety, environmental, and GMP compliance during all automation work

+ Provide flexible support during off-hours to resolve critical production issues

+ Oversee adherence to technical procedures and administer corrective actions when necessary

Your Experience

+ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related technical field

+ 5+ years of experience in PLC and SCADA programming with strong troubleshooting skills

+ Previous experience in manufacturing or process engineering environments

+ Expertise in electrical and electronic principles applied to industrial automation

+ Proficiency with hardware such as HMIs, Servo Controllers, VFDs, sensors, and process instrumentation

+ Skilled in interpreting blueprints, electrical schematics, and P&IDs

+ Demonstrated ability to apply engineering principles to solve complex problems with limited standardization

Compensation:

Pay Range:$63,000-$93,000

_The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees._
