    Job Title: Supervisor, Recovery Support

     

    Department: Power House/Restore

    Employment Type: Full-Time (Sunday-Thursday 1pm - 9pm)

    Reports To: Program Manager Overview: POWER's mission is to help women reclaim their lives from addiction and related emotional health issues and improve the well-being of future generations. We are a nonprofit agency committed to providing quality gender-responsive, trauma-informed treatment and recovery supportive services to women with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. Position Summary: The Supervisor, Recovery Support role provides leadership to all POWER Recovery Support Specialists (RSS). The Supervisor will provide oversight to the Recovery Support Specialists (RSS) who deliver direct care services and support to our clients in recovery within both the residential halfway house (POWER House) and inpatient detox programs (Restore). This position ensures that services are delivered in alignment with recovery-oriented principles, agency values, and trauma-informed care methodology while maintaining compliance with agency policies, and regulatory standards. The Supervisor, Recovery Support is responsible for maintaining a therapeutic and safe environment for clients in a manner that reflects POWER’s mission to be gender-responsive and trauma-informed. The supervisor fosters a supportive environment for staff development and promotes professional growth, advocates for recovery-focused systems, and supports POWER’s mission.

    Key Responsibilities

    Staff Supervision & Development

    + Conduct regular staff and team group supervision sessions.

    + Provide coaching, mentoring, and training on recovery principles and nonprofit best practices.

    + Monitor and manage performance, set goals, and complete evaluations.

    + Assure the team as a whole meets regulatory standards, internal policy standards, or other regulatory requirements – including licensing, certification and training requirements.

    + Support staff in maintaining professional boundaries and ethical standards.

    + Interview and onboard new hires assuring adequate and comprehensive onboarding to the Recovery Support Specialist role; to include medication training and competencies.

    + As a member of the treatment team, the Supervisor uses a strength-based and trauma-informed approach and works collaboratively with the clients and other treatment team members (internal and external) to help support clients in their treatment and recovery.

    + Delivers training as required for medication-observation processes, monitors electronic medical record accuracy, and maintains a clean, organized, and compliant medication workspace and cart.

    + Functions autonomously d emonstrating appropriate judgment in problem solving all day-to-day activities of the team. This includes escalation and crisis situations where the administrative or clinical team may need to engage in support.

    + Encourage staff wellness and self-care.

    + Embodies a positive and motivational presentation and active engagement in the role and actively demonstrate engagement tactics with the team.

    Program Oversight

    + Ensure consistent and adequate staffing and scheduling for program needs.

    + Monitor consistent compliance with organizational policies and state/federal, regulatory/licensing        body regulations.

    + Track program metrics and prepare reports for leadership.

    Advocacy and Community Engagement

    + Promote recovery-oriented systems of care.

    + Support informed choice regarding multiple pathways to recovery.

    + Promote recovery-oriented systems of care within the community and through all functions of POWER

    + Represent the organization as required for POWER community/advocacy events.

    Administrative Duties

    + + Manage staff time off and approve time in accordance with POWER policies and applicable laws.

    + Manages scheduling and maintains tracking of all requests.

    + Maintain accurate documentation.

    + Consistently meets and maintains high confidentiality standards with clients, staff, and POWER proprietary information.

    + Participate in quality improvement initiatives.

    Other Duties

    + + Provide functional hands-on RSS support if there are inadequate staffing efforts to meet required ratios.

    + All other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Requirements of the Role

    + Associates or bachelor's degree in behavioral health, Social Work, or related field.

    + Minimum 1–2 years of supervisory experience in addiction recovery or behavioral health.

    + PCB Certification within 2 years of hire

    + Act 34, 33 and Act 73 Clearances Required

    Skills & Competencies

    + Knowledge of motivational interviewing and trauma-informed care.

    + Strong leadership and team-building skills.

    + Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

    + Ability to manage crises and resolve conflicts effectively.

    + Familiarity with nonprofit operations

    + Familiarity with recovery principles and person-first language.

    Work Environment/Physical Requirements

    + Office, residential community house, and inpatient detox-based settings.

    + Occasional travel to transport clients or accompany them to appointments.

    + Ability to walk short distances outside between our buildings on uneven ground and with various    weather.

    + Ability to navigate several flights of stairs multiple times throughout the workday.

    + Ability to work various shifts to engage with all team members in a 24/7 inpatient environment including evening, weekend and overnight hours

    + Call rotation required
