Job Title: Construction Laborer

Job Description

A **construction laborer** performs a wide range of physical tasks on construction sites to support building, infrastructure, and environmental projects. They help prepare job sites, handle materials, operate basic equipment, and assist skilled tradespeople. This role is essential to keeping construction projects safe, clean, and moving efficiently.

Responsibilities

+ Perform general construction labor duties.

+ Work alongside landscape crews to move materials around the site.

+ Assist with lawn care and landscaping tasks.

+ Engage in concrete work as needed.

Essential Skills

+ 1+ years of experience in construction labor or landscaping.

+ Ability to read a tape measure.

+ Valid driver's license and own transportation.

+ Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in landscaping, lawn care, and concrete work is highly valued.

Work Environment

Work on commercial jobsites in varying weather conditions, from hot to cold and rain. You will start your day at the shop before heading to the jobsite, working in crews of 2-4 people. A small family-owned business with a team of 12-14 employees fosters a supportive culture. You are required to wear steel toe boots and pants. The work hours are from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. Personal hand tools such as bags, tape, and a hammer are necessary. Personal protective equipment including hard hats, safety glasses, ear protection, and high visibility shirts/vests will be provided.

This is a Permanent position based out of Janesville, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
