Office of Management and Finance
The Office of Management and Finance (OMF) oversees the agency’s fiscal operations, budgeting, procurement and contracts, human resources, and other key administrative functions. We provide the internal support and oversight needed to ensure efficient, accountable, and transparent agency operations. OMF does not deliver direct services to the public.
The Maintenance Repairerwill perform semi-skilled work in erection, repair and maintenance of building and equipment. Also, the incumbent will assist in the preventative maintenance program. It is the responsibility of the employee in this position to comply with all agency and maintenance sections’ policies, rules, written procedures, instructions, and regulations while employed in this position.
In addition, safety procedures must be followed when performing assigned tasks. Maintenance to the Administrative and Annex office buildings, five (5) other agency-owned buildings in the Baton Rouge area and five (5) agency-owned buildings located statewide will be provided.
Minimum Qualifications
Two years of experience or training in the building construction trades, building maintenance, maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment, or as a parks building and grounds attendant; OR
Completion of a two-year vocational technical program in general building construction, construction technology, or engineering; OR
Twelve semester hours in construction management, construction technology, or engineering, or any combination of these courses.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Details:
+ Performs assigned tasks in the preventative maintenance program in the Baton Rouge area and area offices located statewide. Servicing, repairing and replacing mechanical equipment such as pumps, chiller, A/C system, air handling units, hot water heaters, steam coils, traps and all other HY AC systems and equipment.
+ Performs electrical installation and repairs within the agency buildings (receptacles, breaker panels, lights, ballasts, coax and IBM cables, MCC cables, and other electrical items.
+ Performs plumbing duties. Installs, alters, maintains, and repairs water lines, fixtures, commodes, sinks, urinals, valves, makeup tanks, chill water lines, etc.
+ Performs task related to door hardware, door locks and cubical locks. Maintains the key stock and lock stock.
+ Performs painting tasks such as preparing surfaces to be painted and painting those surfaces, such as brick walls. Sheet-rock walls, equipment, etc.
+ Works with Telephone, Electronic Tech as needed.
+ Maintains supplies, tools, and equipment in agency stock.
+ Performs other related duties as assigned or required by the supervisor.
