Looking for a better work-life balance? Join an amazing organization that puts Veterans first for an amazing opportunity. The Veterans Canteen Service (VCS) at the Jefferson Barracks VA Medical Center in St. Louis, MO, is seeking a Customer Service Representative.
As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring the Special Order 800 Service call center. Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the program, while at the same time providing the highest level of customer service. Will receive orders for tires from VCS customers nationwide. The position holds the responsibility for ensuring orders placed via email are accurately entered into RMS. Responsible for verifying and gathering information from VCS customers and notifying service centers of the customers.
Benefits: This is a time-limited, temporary appointment, either full-time or part-time, used for periods of employment not expected to exceed one year. Employees with this type of appointment who are expected to work at least 130 hours per month or for at least 90 days are eligible for the Federal Employee Health Benefits (FEHB) and Long-Term Care Insurance. Employees on this type of appointment are not eligible for Federal Employee Retirement System (FERS), Thrift Savings Plan (TSP), Federal Employee Group Life Insurance (FEGLI), Dental, or Vision Insurance.
Qualification Requirements:
+ 1-2 years of experience with knowledge of office automation equipment/functions, computers, copiers, scanners, Microsoft Office (including Excel and Word), etc.
+ Experienced in operating computer systems such as Microsoft Excel and Word
+ Possesses effective communication skills
+ Must be able to multitask and work effectively to meet deadlines
+ A current, valid REAL ID is required to work at Veterans Canteen Service.
As a condition of employment for accepting this position, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period during which we will evaluate your fitness and whether your continued employment advances the public interest. Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is required for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP). Participation in the seasonal influenza program is a condition of employment. It is a requirement that all HCP receive the annual seasonal influenza vaccination or obtain an exemption for medical or religious reasons.
