Accounts Payable / Inventory Specialist
**Location:** Hybrid – Pearl River, NY
**Employment Type:** Direct Hire
**Salary Range:** **$60,000 – $70,000 annually** , based on experience
Adecco is partnering with a growing **Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG)** company in the **Food & Beverage industry** to hire an experienced **Accounts Payable / Inventory Specialist** . This role plays a critical part in managing inventory operations, accounts payable processes, and supporting broader accounting functions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and experienced working in a fast-paced CPG environment.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management
+ Take ownership of inventory management processes
+ Receive inventory and ensure all documentation matches; follow up on discrepancies
+ Process inventory builds and transfers
+ Reconcile inventory on a weekly and monthly basis
Accounts Payable
+ Own the AP approval and data entry process
+ Review vendor invoices for proper documentation and approvals
+ Post vendor invoices into the accounting system
+ Send payment remittances and supporting documentation
+ Audit and process corporate Amex bills
Accounting & Reconciliations
+ Record eCommerce sales and collaborate with third-party partners
+ Monitor account balances, track expenses, and prepare account analyses
+ Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts
+ Ensure confidentiality and security of all financial information
+ Assist with fieldwork for financial and operational audits
Additional Responsibilities
+ Serve as backup support for Accounts Receivable, including deductions, billbacks, and customer dispute resolution
+ Manage trade spend in an organized and detailed manner, including coordination with third-party clearinghouses
+ Assist with special projects and other duties as needed
Qualifications
+ **4+ years of CPG experience** , preferably within the **Food & Beverage industry**
+ **3–5 years of general accounting experience**
+ **Advanced Excel skills required** (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas)
+ **NetSuite experience required (2+ years)**
+ Experience with **Concur, Ramp, Vividly, and True Commerce** is a plus
+ Strong attention to detail with excellent follow-up and communication skills
+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
