    Accounting Manager / Supervisor

     

    South Houston, TX

     

    We are seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager / Supervisor to oversee day-to-day accounting operations in a small to mid-sized, project-driven environment. This role manages a small team and works closely with the Finance Manager to ensure accurate reporting, strong controls, and timely execution of accounting functions.

    Responsibilities

    + Lead a small team covering AP, AR, payroll, and bookkeeping

    + Support and oversee month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting

    + Manage vendor payments, customer invoicing, and support collections

    + Oversee payroll processing and related compliance

    + Track and depreciate fixed assets

    + Assist with state/federal filings, audits, and compliance

    + Maintain internal controls and ensure data accuracy

    Requirements

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field

    + 5+ years of accounting experience (AP, AR, close, fixed assets, financials)

    + Experience in an SMB environment

    + Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred

    + Industry experience in project, construction, or EPC strongly preferred
