    Summary

    The Department of Finance is seeking a detail-oriented, skilled professional to complete diverse administrative support functions for the Securities Bureau. Applicant is required to handle confidential information in accordance with statutory requirements; maintain licensing records and databases; provide research and special project assistance; and perform other necessary duties and tasks.

    Job Responsibilities

    + Maintain databases and records for the Bureau;

    + Coordinate the download of data from national systems and input data (i.e., NMLS, EFD system, Blue Express) into the Bureau's databases;

    + Process applications and renewals pertaining to investment professionals, such as investment advisor representatives and broker/dealer agents, securities issuers, escrow companies, money transmitter businesses, and endowment care cemeteries;

    + Review initial filings for accuracy and completeness;

    + Track statistics and prepare statistical reports;

    + Monitor licensees for continued compliance with laws and regulations, such as agent reporting, bonding requirements, or records maintenance;

    + Provide technical assistance and respond to inquiries, complaints, and requests on registration and licensing requirements;

    + Process correspondence, prepare and print documents, maintain calendars, evaluate refund requests; and

    + Receive and direct calls.

    Minimum Qualifications (MQ’s) - Experiencerequiredto qualify for this position:

    + Reviewing documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and/or laws (Typically gained by at least 3 months' work experience in auditing or compliance verification);

    + Interpreting, explaining, and applying laws, regulations, and policies for specialized programs (Typically gained by at least 3 months' experience working with regulations in an auditing, examination, or compliance role);

    + Managing manual and/or automated record systems (Typically gained by at least 3 months' work experience entering or downloading data into a database or computer system);

    + Researching a variety of sources and compiling and summarizing statistics and information for reports (Typically gained by at least 3 months of work experience in statistical analysis);

    + Entering and retrieving data using a computerized record system (Typically gained by at least 6 months' work experience where a primary function of the job was to enter and retrieve data using Microsoft Office products); and

    + Composing and proofreading business correspondence (Typically gained by at least 3 months' clerical work experience).
