Our Client in the healthcare industry is hiring a Accounts Payable Specialist!

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in San Antonio, Texas. This Contract to permanent position requires a detail-oriented individual with a background in high-volume invoice processing and a commitment to maintaining accuracy and efficiency. The ideal candidate will excel in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate strong organizational skills while effectively managing vendor relationships.

Responsibilities:

• Process and verify large volumes of invoices and purchase orders, ensuring compliance with company policies.

• Handle weekly and monthly payment cycles, including electronic payments, checks, and transfers.

• Reconcile vendor statements and address discrepancies promptly through effective communication.

• Maintain organized and accurate records of accounts payable transactions for audit readiness.

• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues related to purchase orders, invoices, and payments.

• Assist in processing employee expense reports, ensuring adherence to reimbursement guidelines.

• Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and reporting.

• Prioritize tasks to meet deadlines in a high-volume environment and recommend process improvements.

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies in all payable activities.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in accounts payable or a related field, with a focus on high-volume processing.

• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas.

• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with vendors and teams.

• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.

• Familiarity with general ledger and 3-way matching processes.

• Experience with NetSuite or similar accounting platforms is preferred.

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is advantageous.
