Description We are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team in San Antonio, Texas. In this Contract-to-permanent position, you will be responsible for managing key accounting tasks and ensuring the accuracy of financial records. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment within the construction industry.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and record journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures to ensure timely reporting.

• Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts to ensure consistency and accuracy.

• Review and maintain financial data, ensuring all supporting documentation is properly organized.

• Support accounts payable and receivable processes, including timely invoicing and payment tracking.

• Help develop financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with applicable standards.

• Collaborate with auditors during internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.

• Participate in budget planning and perform variance analysis to identify discrepancies.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting principles in all financial transactions. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

• Hands-on experience with accounting software and proficiency in Excel.

• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members.

• Familiarity with corporate tax, sales tax, and corporate tax returns.

• Experience with journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and joint interest billing.

• Previous exposure to corporate accounting processes and reporting.
