Job Title: Firmware EngineerJob Description

We are seeking a skilled Firmware Engineer to join our team in a fast-paced environment, where you will collaborate with hardware engineers to develop and troubleshoot embedded firmware for filtration board development. You will play a crucial role in designing software solutions that measure differential pressure drop around water filters, ensuring efficient operation and timely maintenance.

Responsibilities

+ Develop embedded firmware using C/C++ in a pure embedded environment.

+ Diagnose and validate firmware from the ground up using FreeRTOS.

+ Work with BLE-enabled Silicon Labs BGM240 or EFR32 family microcontrollers.

+ Troubleshoot and bring up new development boards.

+ Collaborate with hardware engineers to ensure effective board and software development.

+ Support software over-the-air (OTA) updates via Bluetooth pairing.

+ Engage in board bring-up and testing, ensuring board functionality.

Essential Skills

+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

+ 5+ years of experience in C or C++ embedded firmware development.

+ Experience with embedded RTOS, such as FreeRTOS.

+ Familiarity with serial communication protocols, including UART, SPI, and I2C.

+ Experience with ARM-based microcontrollers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in Modbus RTU/TCP.

+ Knowledge in embedded file systems, system controls, and embedded Linux.

+ Experience with Agile development methodologies.

+ Basic knowledge of RF communications.

+ Experience with board layout and design.

Work Environment

This is a 100% onsite position located in MN, working with a dynamic engineering team. The role involves collaborating with teams both locally and in Greensboro, North Carolina. The work environment is fast-paced, requiring independent work on new development projects, and offers a contract duration of 6-9 months, with possible extensions.

This is a Contract position based out of Saint Paul, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $68.00/hr.
