    We are seeking a Superintendent to join our team specializing in 90% interiors commercial construction. Our projects encompass a range of sectors including aviation, schools, educational facilities, commercial spaces, government buildings, hotels, hospitality, as well as tenant fit-outs and interior renovations. The Superintendent will manage and direct the construction of various contracts, ensuring projects run smoothly from bid to completion.

    Responsibilities

    + Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.

    + Manage projects from bid to award to completion, with budgets ranging from $100k to $10M.

    + Perform site inspections to ensure compliance with contract documents.

    + Manage the RFI and submittal process.

    + Create and maintain project schedules.

    + Bid new projects, conduct scope reviews, and coordinate with subcontractors for project estimates.

    + Review, process, and negotiate change orders.

    + Create and track project budgets.

    + Engage in marketing and business development activities.

    + Simultaneously manage 2-3+ projects.

    Essential Skills

    + 5+ years of experience as a General Contractor Superintendent.

    + Experience in commercial construction, including scheduling, RFIs, submittals, and bidding.

    + Ability to manage 2+ projects simultaneously, including one main project while closing one and bidding one or two others.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with interior and SCIF projects.

    + Proficient in project management and coordination.

    Work Environment

    The position is based in an office in Fairfax, VA, within an open and team-oriented environment. Employees work directly with the company's owners and executives in a mid-sized firm that executes $50M in projects annually.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of FAIRFAX, VA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $43.27 - $55.00/hr.
