We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to support the construction of a mission-critical data center facility. The role involves managing mechanical systems such as chilled water generation and distribution, CRAH/CRAC units, AHUs, evaporative cooling, heat-rejection equipment, mechanical piping systems, and more. Your expertise will ensure compliance with design standards and performance expectations.
Responsibilities
+ Review mechanical design documents, specifications, and IFC packages.
+ Validate compliance with codes, OEM requirements, and owner design standards.
+ Respond to RFIs and coordinate clarifications across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
+ Evaluate equipment selections, submittals, shop drawings, and proposed substitutions.
+ Conduct field walks to verify installation against drawings and specifications.
+ Support installation sequencing and constructability reviews.
+ Oversee equipment placement, clearances, anchorage, vibration isolation, and safety compliance.
+ Monitor piping fabrication, welding QA/QC, and pressure testing.
+ Resolve field nonconformances and track corrective actions.
+ Review mechanical inspection checklists, weld maps, hydrostatic test records, and flushing plans.
+ Coordinate MEP interfaces with electrical, structural, civil, plumbing, and controls disciplines.
+ Support BIM coordination and clash-resolution efforts.
+ Participate in weekly OAC and MEP trade coordination meetings.
+ Develop and review commissioning scripts and procedures.
+ Witness functional testing, equipment startup, CHW balancing, and BAS control-point testing.
+ Validate operational sequences and Basis-of-Design intent.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering and construction project management.
+ Proficiency in project management, construction drawings, and compliance.
+ Ability to read specifications and drawings.
+ Strong troubleshooting skills and issue resolution capabilities.
+ Experience in overseeing construction projects and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Mechanical background is preferred.
+ Experience with Microsoft technologies is a plus.
+ Willingness to relocate if necessary.
Work Environment
This position is 100% onsite at the Boynton-BN1 - AVC02 location. The work schedule is 40 hours per week, typically distributed over 10-hour days. The role requires a hands-on approach to manage and oversee various aspects of the project, ensuring high standards of safety, workmanship, and professionalism.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $79.00 - $89.00/hr.
