    Job Title: Laboratory Associate

    Job Description

    Join our dynamic laboratory team as a Laboratory Pre-Analytical Services Associate V, where you will play a crucial role in handling lab specimens, ensuring accurate data entry, and supporting general lab operations.

    Responsibilities

    + Receive, sort, and store incoming lab specimens.

    + Ensure proper labeling, preservation, and documentation of specimens.

    + Enter patient requisitions and verify accuracy.

    + Record patient demographics, consent forms, insurance details, and collection timestamps.

    + Order lab tests based on submitted requests.

    + Perform clerical duties such as filing, scanning, and organizing records.

    + Assist lab staff with routine tasks to maintain workflow.

    + Take inventory, restock supplies, and place orders as directed.

    Essential Skills

    + Data entry skills.

    + Laboratory support experience.

    + High School Diploma or equivalent.

    + 0-1 year of experience in laboratory science or healthcare industry.

    + Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

    + Skills in specimen processing, collection, accessioning, and handling.

    + Basic ability to work independently and manage time.

    + Strong written communication skills.

    + Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

    + Basic ability to analyze data and accurately document and record results.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Familiarity with histology.

     

    Work Environment

     

    This role operates in a fast-paced environment where you will be an integral part of the laboratory team, utilizing various technologies and equipment to support lab operations.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tukwila, WA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $32.00/hr.
