As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for processing and filling prescription orders in preparation for pharmacist verification. You will also be involved in the packing and shipping of completed prescription orders to patients. Additionally, you will maintain drug inventory and automated dispensing units, replenish workstation supplies needed for filling prescriptions, and work within multiple computer systems simultaneously. You will also have the opportunity to respond to questions or provide specific medication details and clinical information. This role is part of a high-volume production team, filling an average of 50,000 prescriptions per day during the evening shift.
Responsibilities
+ Process and fill prescription orders in preparation for pharmacist verification.
+ Pack and ship completed prescription orders to patients.
+ Maintain drug inventory and automated dispensing units.
+ Replenish workstation supplies for filling prescriptions, including vials, caps, and labels.
+ Work within multiple computer systems simultaneously.
+ Respond to questions or provide specific medication details and clinical information.
+ Fill an average of 50,000 prescriptions per day with the team during the evening shift.
Essential Skills
+ Pharmacy technician license required.
+ Experience in pharmacy production and inventory management.
+ Ability to work in a fulfillment environment.
+ NJ state license required for pharmacy technician.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) highly preferred.
+ Pharmacy technician certification preferred.
+ Production experience in a pharmacy setting.
Work Environment
This position is a full-time role, requiring 40 hours per week from Sunday to Thursday, with Fridays and Saturdays off. The working hours are from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM. Occasionally, overtime or weekend work may be necessary based on business needs. Technicians must be able to stand for the entirety of their shift and be comfortable handling medications and performing data entry. The role involves rotating between different picking stations, including replenishments, manual puck stations, bottle counting with Kerby machines, and tray and spatula filling stations with Yuyama machines. There is also an offline station for troubleshooting within the pharmacy. The work environment is fast-paced and high-volume, where accuracy and efficiency in delivering medications are crucial. Candidates must be comfortable lifting boxes weighing up to 40 lbs.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr.
