Job Title: Quality Assurance Consultant - Construction Projects
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Consultant to join our team and provide expert guidance on various construction projects. You will ensure the technical completeness and accuracy of quality assurance processes, evaluate contractor schedules, and manage comprehensive project documentation. This role involves working on exciting government projects at Red River Army Depot in Texas and Louisiana.
Responsibilities
+ Review quality assurance work for technical completeness, accuracy, and provide expert guidance on plans, specifications, and applicable code interpretation.
+ Assess contractor schedules for sequencing, construction methodology, and contract compliance to ensure all plans align with best practices and regulatory requirements.
+ Document and review principal construction features, requirements, submittals, shop drawings, and maintain real-time awareness of contractor activities to proactively address and avoid construction delays.
+ Evaluate proposed changes to project scopes, requirements, and timelines. Prepare detailed, expert-level information to support negotiation teams and assist with change order management and documentation.
+ Advise personnel on construction contract administration, acquisition management, and federal construction regulations. Review and recommend design/specification changes to accommodate site conditions or expedite schedules.
+ Prepare clear, concise briefing materials for stakeholders and deliver status updates as needed.
+ Perform BCOES (Biddability, Constructability, Operability, Environmental & Sustainability) and plan-in-hand reviews to ensure all plans are executable and compliant.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Degree in an engineering or architecture discipline with at least 7 years related experience, or 10 years of successful construction project management
+ Advanced understanding of government contract administration
+ OSHA 30 certification
+ USACE certification
+ CQM certification
+ Site safety and construction safety knowledge
Work Environment
This role requires on-site presence at Red River Army Depot in Texarkana, Texas or Louisiana for the first year. The position involves working on exciting government projects, providing the opportunity to work for a well-known company with good compensation.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Texarkana, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43.26 - $44.23/hr.
