Job Title: Engineering Manager
Job Description
The Mechanical Engineering Manager will lead a team of mechanical engineers in designing, developing, and implementing mechanical systems and components. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to manage projects from concept through production while ensuring compliance with industry standards and company objectives.
Responsibilities
+ Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of mechanical engineers.
+ Allocate resources effectively and manage workload distribution.
+ Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
+ Oversee mechanical engineering projects from design to delivery.
+ Ensure projects meet timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
+ Coordinate with cross-functional teams (electrical, manufacturing, quality, etc.).
+ Provide guidance on mechanical design principles, materials selection, and manufacturing processes.
+ Review and approve engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations.
+ Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry codes, and company standards.
+ Implement best practices for design, testing, and documentation.
+ Drive efficiency through automation, standardization, and cost optimization.
+ Communicate project status, risks, and recommendations to executive management.
+ Collaborate with clients and vendors to ensure technical requirements are met.
Essential Skills
+ 7+ years of mechanical engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
+ Proven track record in managing complex engineering projects.
+ Strong knowledge of CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.).
+ Familiarity with manufacturing processes and materials science.
+ Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.
+ Experience in mechanical design, process improvement, design engineering, and assembly.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $78.00 - $78.00/hr.
