Job Title: Construction Laborer / Carpenter

***Location:** Des Moines, Iowa

***Employment Type:** Full-Time | Onsite

***Schedule:** Monday - Friday from 7am - 4:30pm

***Pay:** $18-$24/hour (Dependent on past work experience in the construction field)

***Overview:** We are looking for hard-working construction laborers to join our team as a Construction Carpenter, specializing in remodel work across a wide range of project types. This role supports renovations in healthcare facilities, educational institutions, military buildings, and state and federal sites. The ideal candidate brings a versatile construction skill set, preferably carpentry, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

*Key Responsibilities:

+ Measure and cut materials accurately according to project specifications

+ Install trim, cabinets, doors, hardware, and related components

+ Assist with flooring installation and general remodel tasks

+ Perform both basic and advanced carpentry duties as needed

+ Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project documents

+ Maintain high-quality workmanship and attention to detail

*Work Environment:

+ Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

+ Fully onsite role across various remodel project locations

+ Work involves active construction environments requiring adherence to safety standards

*Skills Needed:

+ Minimum of at least 1 year of commercial carpentry experience, 2+ preferred

+ Proficiency with hand tools and basic power tools/saws

+ Ability to read a tape measure and cut materials to exact specifications

+ Skilled in base and case work, metal stud layout, and framing

*Requirements:

+ **Valid Drivers License and Reliable Transportation**

+ **Need to pass a standard back ground check**

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Des Moines, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.00/hr.
