Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

This role is essential in ensuring the precise cutting and handling of metal product in industrial work environment.

The position requires careful attention to detail and collaboration with team members to maintain high production standards.

Responsibilities

+ Use metal shear to even up lengths of metal

+ Handle metal with care

+ Assist saw crews in maintaining production efficiency.

+ Regularly check equipment to ensure safe working conditions

+ Maintain a clean and orderly work area and assist with the general housekeeping

+ Use pallet jacks and mini cranes to load and unload items over 50 pounds, with the ability to lift up to 100 pounds if needed with crane support.

+ Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in machine operation

+ Ability to measure

+ General labor skills with a mechanical inclination.

+ Ability to read and interpret simple blueprints and perform basic math calculations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in industrial and heavy-duty general labor work is beneficial.

+ Capability to work in a dusty and dirty environment.

Work Environment

12-hour shifts. Day shifts run from 7 AM to 7 PM,

Candidates can plan their schedule for the entire year.

The environment is dirty and dusty, and the dress code includes jeans or work pants, a plain shirt, steel-toed shoes with metatarsals

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wellsville, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.39 - $18.39/hr.
