Job Title: Mechanical Assembler** **Job Description

This role involves leading the assembly of components and sub-assemblies of metal parts according to blueprints and job packets. You will plan and perform large and complex assemblies, directing others with minimal supervision. Your role includes assisting with assigned assembly jobs, conducting inspections throughout the process to ensure quality, and reducing scheduled time for jobs. You will maintain a clean and safe work environment and may operate a variety of hand and power tools such as band saws, drill presses, grinders, and belt sanders.

Responsibilities

+ Lead the assembly of components and sub-assemblies of metal parts according to blueprints and job packets.

+ Plan and perform large and complex assemblies with the ability to direct others with minimum supervision.

+ Assist with assembly jobs as assigned.

+ Perform inspections throughout the entire process to ensure quality and reduce scheduled time for jobs.

+ Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

+ Operate a variety of hand and power tools such as band saw, drill press, grinder, belt sander, etc.

Essential Skills

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

+ Proficient use of hand and power tools.

+ Mechanical assembly skills.

+ Ability to plan and perform complex assemblies.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Associates degree or equivalent combination of education.

+ One year of previous experience in a manufacturing environment or manufacturing assembly.

The facility is well-lit and clean, providing a comfortable work environment. New hires begin with training boxes. The dress code is standard casual, with jeans and a t-shirt. Steel-toed shoes, as well as ear and eye protection, are required.

This is a Permanent position based out of Oshkosh, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $23.50/hr.
