    Job Title: Inventory Specialist** **Job Description

     

    We are seeking an Inventory Specialist to join our team, working primarily in the kitting area of the warehouse. This role involves managing inventory using various systems and equipment, ensuring both physical and system records are accurate.

    Responsibilities

    + Spend approximately 70% of the time at a computer, 20% on material movement equipment, and 10% walking.

    + Utilize computer systems such as MAMM, Supermarket, and web-based programs, along with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and SAP systems for tracking inventory.

    + Print out inventory reports and conduct audits to ensure the accuracy of system and physical records.

    + Own the inventory counts and records to ensure accuracy.

    + Perform physical counts of inventory as needed to confirm the system's accuracy.

    + Locate missing inventory parts not accurately reflected in the system.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in inventory tracking and data entry.

    + Ability to navigate and work in computer systems with high aptitude.

    + Experience operating forklifts and other vehicles in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.

    + Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and order tracking systems.

    + At least 2 years of work experience in a warehouse or manufacturing facility.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience working with SAP and other inventory management systems.

    + Prior experience in roles such as 4Q Auditor or Inventory Analyst is advantageous.

    + High attention to detail and strong attendance record.

    + Comfortable working at heights while operating forklifts.

    Work Environment

    The work environment includes three shifts: 1st shift (7am - 3pm), 2nd shift (3pm-11pm), and 3rd shift (11pm-7am), with a 50+ hour work week expected. Overtime is available, and employees must be open to working Saturdays, with Sundays being voluntary. Training involves 4-6 weeks of classroom and on-the-job learning, with a focus on forklift operation and inventory systems. Employees are required to wear steel-toed shoes, work pants, bump cap, high visibility vest, and safety glasses.

    This is a Contract position based out of Decatur, IL.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
