Job Title: Civil Laborer** **Job Description

We are seeking dedicated SWPPP Laborers to join our team and perform tasks such as hydroseeding, erosion control, laying down hay, shoveling, raking, and installing gabion basins.

Responsibilities

+ Perform hydroseeding and erosion control tasks.

+ Lay down hay and perform shoveling and raking duties.

+ Install gabion basins and assist with various civil closeout site tasks.

+ Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, and articulated dump trucks.

+ Work in tandem with other laborers on site, ensuring safety and efficiency.

Essential Skills

+ 3+ years of experience operating an excavator or dozer (both preferred).

+ 3+ years of experience using an articulated dump truck.

+ Ability to perform fine grading with dozer/excavator.

+ Possession of 3rd party certifications for bulldozer/excavator or articulated haul truck.

+ Safety awareness and knowledge, such as OSHA 10 or OSHA 30.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Solar experience is a plus.

+ Ability to work significant overtime and weekends as needed.

+ Reliability with strong attendance and punctuality.

+ Safety is paramount; adherence to safety protocols is mandatory.

Work Environment

Work on multiple civil closeout sites in a new construction environment, exposed to various weather conditions, including hot and humid summer days. The work schedule is from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with an hour break for lunch, and additional short breaks in the morning and afternoon. Safety is a priority, with mandatory PPE gear including a hard hat, steel-toed boots, safety glasses, reflective vest, and gloves. Expect to work 50-hour weeks initially, with a focus on safety and compliance with protocols.

This is a Contract position based out of Farnham, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
