    Job Title: Water Jet Operator** **Job Description

     

    We have an exciting opportunity for a Water Jet Operator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up machines and editing programs to meet the dimensions needed for cutting pieces according to order specifications. This position offers the chance to work with state-of-the-art equipment in a brand new shop.

    Responsibilities

    + Set up waterjet and CNC machines, including a CNC Router, Panel Saws/Shapers, and Waterjet.

    + Download and edit programs as needed to achieve required dimensions.

    + Gather tooling and set up fixtures for machining processes.

    + Perform dry runs of programs and make necessary edits after the first piece is produced.

    + Collaborate with a team of machinists to support and execute secondary operations.

    Essential Skills

    + At least 3 years of experience in machining.

    + Minimum 1 year of experience operating a waterjet.

    + Proficiency in reading blueprints and editing G&M Code.

    + Experience with Fanuc tooling and MasterCAM programming.

    + Familiarity with Haas Controls.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Willingness to assist with packaging materials, deburring, and prepping parts as needed.

    Work Environment

    Work in a completely renovated building with brand new equipment. The facility is in its start-up phase at the Auburn Hills location but is supported by a long-standing machine shop in Georgia. Enjoy working on a 1st shift from 6am to 4:30pm or a 2nd shift from 4:30pm to 3am, Monday through Thursday, with occasional Friday shifts.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of AUBURN HILLS, MI.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
