Job Title: CNC Mill Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Mill Machinist with a strong experience in machine operations and setup. This position requires a candidate who can independently manage setups and runs on CNC machines, utilizing their expertise to ensure precision and efficiency.

Responsibilities

+ Perform independent setups and runs on CNC machines.

+ Utilize height gauges, calipers, and micrometers effectively.

+ Read and interpret blueprints accurately.

+ Operate machines using Fanuc Controls.

+ Maintain and operate a two-machine cell efficiently.

+ Work with 3 Axis Mills and Mill Turn Lathes.

Essential Skills

+ Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CNC Mill Machinist.

+ Proficiency in using Fanuc Controls.

+ Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints.

+ Experience with 3 Axis Mills and Mill Turn Lathes.

+ Strong understanding of G Codes and M Codes.

+ Capability to perform setups independently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Mill Turn preferred.

+ Experience with live milling tooling and twin spindle machines.

+ Owning personal tools is convenient but not required.

Work Environment

Work in a CNC machine shop environment with around 50 employees, providing a close-knit and collaborative atmosphere. The first shift operates from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, with potential for overtime and additional hours on Saturdays. The dress code is casual with jeans, t-shirts, and steel-toed shoes required. The culture emphasizes teamwork, mutual respect, and a willingness to support colleagues.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, KS.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.
